Who we are, where this site lives, what we do with the little we know about you, and what happens when a record arrives with a click in it. Short on purpose.

If you have a question about anything on this page, an email is the quickest route. The press is loud and the phone rarely gets heard.
Hosting
The site is a set of static files served by [host name], [host address]. No server code runs when you visit a page. The host keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser string) for security and capacity planning, under its own terms.
Intellectual property
The text, layout, illustrations and photographs on this site, together with the LUMORA name and wordmark, belong to LUMORA unless stated otherwise. You may quote short passages with a link back. You may not reproduce whole pages, the photographs, or the wordmark without asking first.
Artwork you send us for a sleeve or label remains yours. Ordering a record grants us a licence to reproduce that artwork only as far as needed to make and ship your order. We do not keep the files past the retention period below, and we do not reuse them for other customers.
We like to photograph finished records for the journal and for our Instagram account. If you would rather yours stayed private, say so on the order form or by email and it will not appear anywhere. No hard feelings.
Privacy
We collect as little as a small shop can and still post a parcel. Here is the whole of it.
What the forms collect
- Order form: your name, email address, delivery address, the playlist or tracklist you send, the colour pair and format you pick, and any artwork or notes.
- Contact form: your name, email address and the message you write.
Why we collect it
To reply to you, to quote and press your record, to post it, and to sort out any problem with it afterwards. That is the lot. The legal basis is the contract you are asking us to perform, or, for a plain enquiry, our legitimate interest in answering it.
How long we keep it
Order and contact records are kept for 24 months from the last message or delivery, then deleted. Accounting records that the law obliges us to keep for longer are kept for that period only, and only the fields required.
Who else sees it
Our courier receives the delivery address. Our email provider carries the messages. A payment processor handles card details; we never see or store a card number. Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or swap personal data with anyone.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable format. Write to hello@lumora.io and we will answer within a month. If you are not happy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This site sets no tracking cookies, runs no analytics script, and loads no third-party advertising. Fonts and images are served from our own host.
A few pages may use your browser's local storage for strictly functional reasons, for example remembering the colour pair you were looking at while you filled in an order. Nothing in local storage is sent to us or to anyone else. You can clear or block it in your browser's privacy settings; every page will still work.
Orders and refunds
Every record is made to order, one of one, with your music in the groove and your artwork on the sleeve. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 this counts as a personalised item, so the standard 14-day right to change your mind does not apply once production starts. Here is how we handle it instead.
- Cancelling: you can cancel for a full refund at any point before we cut the lacquer. After the cut, the cost of the lacquer and mastering is kept and the rest is refunded. After plating, the order cannot be cancelled.
- The swirl: two colours of hot wax meet differently every time. Where the colours land, how much of each shows, and small variations in shade are a feature of the process, not a defect, and are not grounds for a replacement.
- Faulty pressings: a record that skips, is off-centre beyond tolerance, is warped so it will not play, or is damaged in the post will be replaced at our cost. Tell us within 30 days of delivery, with a photograph or a short recording, and we will press it again.
- Delivery: turnaround is about six weeks from approved cut. It is an estimate, not a promise. Bertha was built in 1978.
Governing law
These terms and this site are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute that we cannot settle over email or a cup of tea at the plant goes to the courts of England and Wales. Nothing here reduces the rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.
