How we pair
Opposites
swirl better.
A pair is not two colours we like. It is two colours that still look like two colours after 28 seconds at 160 °C. Every pair on this page has survived at least twelve test pucks and one heated argument in the kitchen.

Can I bring my own colour?
Afraid not. We stock eight colours of virgin PVC that we know behave under heat, and every one of the 21 pairs is two of those eight. Matching a custom shade in molten plastic is a fortnight of test pucks and a bin full of brown. If you bring a very good argument and a very good biscuit, June will listen carefully, then say no.
Can I have three colours?
No. Bertha has two hoppers, so a record gets two pucks, one from each. We tried a third by hand once, in 2024, and the result was a shade we now call Car Park. Two colours swirl. Three colours negotiate, and everyone loses.
Do you do glow-in-the-dark or translucent wax?
No glow: the additive dulls the groove and we would rather your record sounded good in daylight. Translucency, though, comes free with the lighter colours. Mustard and Raspberry go semi-clear where the wax runs thin, so hold a Sherbet or a Riviera up to a window and you will see the swirl from the inside.
Do the colours fade?
The pigment is mixed through the PVC, not printed on top, so the colour you get is the colour you keep. Sunlight will not fade it, but direct sun will warp it, as it warps every record ever made. Shelf it upright, out of the window, and the swirl you unbox is the swirl your grandchildren argue over.
