Press a Record
Send us the songs.
Paste a playlist, pick a format and two colours, and press send. Within two working days June replies with a side split and a straight answer about run times. Nothing to pay until you like the plan.
Lovely.
We'll be back within two working days with a side split.
June reads every playlist end to end, so if yours is four hours long it might be three days. In the meantime, the kettle is on at Unit B, Wednesday to Saturday, 10:00 to 18:00.
Questions
Things people ask
before pressing.
Which links work?
Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, YouTube Music, Tidal, SoundCloud and Mixcloud all fine. So is a numbered list typed into the Notes box, or a photo of a Post-it. What we need is the songs and the order. We source the audio at the best quality we can get, and if you own masters or WAVs we'll happily use those instead.
What if my playlist is too long for a side?
It usually is. The LP takes about 22 minutes a side before the groove gets so tight the bass starts to mumble. June replies with a side split and a suggestion or two for what could go. You decide. Nothing is cut without you saying so, and a shorter side genuinely sounds louder.
Can I choose where side A ends?
Please do. Put it in the Notes. House rule, offered for free: side B should open with the second-best song. June will defend this position at length if you ask, and at moderate length if you don't.
What about the music rights?
The Single and The LP are one-of-one editions for your own shelf, the vinyl equivalent of the mixtape you used to make for a friend, and we treat them that way. The Box is a run, so for that we'll ask you to confirm the music is yours or that you hold the rights to press it. If you're unsure, email before you order and we'll talk it through.
Not ready to press?
Come and hold one first.
The plant is open Wed to Sat, 10 to 6. Bring a playlist, dig through the reject crate, watch Bertha hiss. The form will still be here.
